Which 2017 Hyundais Have 4WD?

In Milwaukee, all-wheel drive is much more than a nice feature to have on your vehicle. There are some mornings when the updated version of 4WD all but a necessity, and even on moderate winter days the additional traction AWD provides is reassuring. For drivers who want the ultimate in stability and control on the road, three 2017 Hyundais are available with all-wheel drive.

The 2017 Hyundai Tucson

The 2017 Hyundai Tucson is an affordable and fuel-efficient SUV. When equipped with all-wheel drive, the Tucson has a starting MSRP of just $24,100 (and that’s before any discounts or incentives). The turbocharged engine that comes with the higher trim levels gets up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway at most levels, which is more than respectable for an all-wheel-drive SUV. An Eco trim does even better, seeing 30 mpg on the highway with the turbocharged four-cylinder.

Of course, the 2017 Tucson’s fuel efficiency doesn’t come without trade-offs. While spacious and well-appointed, its cabin seats five rather than seven. Additionally, the turbocharged engine produces 195 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, which limits the SUV’s towing capacity to 1,000 pounds.

While such trade-offs may be deal breakers for some drivers, there are still many drivers in the Milwaukee area who the 2017 Tucson will serve well. If you’re looking for an all-wheel-drive vehicle with room for cargo that won’t break the budget either at the dealership or at the pump, the 2017 Tucson is an excellent choice.

The 2017 Santa Fe Sport

For those who want more luxury or power than the Tucson offers, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is the next vehicle to look at. The Santa Fe Sport is another five-seat SUV that’s available with all-wheel drive, but it offers more features and a larger engine than the Tucson has.

The base trim of the Santa Fe Sport is nicely equipped, but it’s the features that come with the 2.0T and 2.0T Ultimate trims that really make the SUV stand out. Available features like 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and heated front and second-row seats give the SUV style and ensure everyone’s comfortable.

For towing, the Santa Fe Sport can be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. With the right equipment, this engine’s towing capacity tops out at 3,505 pounds.

If you’re looking for an SUV that’s easy to drive around town, has lots of features, is able to tow and comes with all-wheel drive, the 2017 Santa Fe Sport is the Hyundai for you.

The 2017 Santa Fe

The big sibling of the Santa Fe Sport, the 2017 Santa Fe offers a little more of just about everything. It has seating for six or seven, depending on what configuration is selected for the second row. A 3.3-liter V6 produces 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque, which is sufficient for towing up to 5,000 pounds if properly equipped. Of course, all-wheel drive and a host of other features are available.

If you need an all-wheel drive SUV that’ll take the whole family and a trailer on vacation, the 2017 Santa Fe is up for the job.
